TRAINEES ASSOCIATION

An Association of Old Trainees
of this Institute is working in this institute.
All the pass outs of this institute are invited to
join this association and donate genersouly for
achieving the goals of this association . This
association holds periodic meetings in the campus
and doing various works to uplift the trainees and
institute. The main features of this association
are as below:-
1. Name
The Name of the society shall
be I.T.I. Patiala, Old Training Association and
shall be referred to as the Association
subsequently in these articles.
2. Address
The Association office shall be
located at : Govt. Industrial Training Institute (ITI)
Model Town, Patiala-147001 - Punjab, India
3 Objectives
3.1
Encourage interaction with
trainees, old trainees, faculty and industry by
holding lectures, seminars
and conferences.
3.2
To generate a 'Brain Bank' from amongst its
members and provide its services or the benefit of
the Alma Mater, in particular, and the society, in
general.
3.3
To raise and collect funds for fulfilling aims and
objectives of the Association.
3.4 To provide scholarships to needy
students based on guidelines decided in consultation with the ITI.
3.5 To
provide specials grants for needy students based
on guidelines decided in consultation with the ITI.
3.6 To award
the deserting old trainees for their significant
achievements/contributions.
3.7 To promote interaction between
the Association and the Local Chapters.
3.8 To
motivate the members to generate
donations/contributions for the development of the Alms Mater.
4.
Organization of the Association
4.1 The Parton : The Prindipal.
4.2 The Central Executive
Committee (CEC) : consisting of 11 member plus immediate past office bearers.
4.3 The General Body (GB) :
consisting of all members of the Association.
5.
Membership
5.1 Subject to article 7.4 any person
who has been trainee of ITI & got National Trade
Certificate or any department of ITI as a faculty
member shall be eligible for membership of the ITI Patiala
Old Trainees Association, Honorary membership in the
Association may be conferred, by the
Executive Committee, on those who have distinguished themselves in Technical
Education & Industrial Training.
5.2 Application for membership shall
be in writing made to the secretary containing
such information as CEC may determine from
time to time. The CEC shall have full
powers to accept or reject any such application
without assigning any reason. Decision of the CEC shall be final and shall not be questioned
anywhere in any manner whatsoever.
5.3 The
one-time subscription for the life membership of
the Association shall be Rs. 200/- This is subject to
change in consultation with ITI.
5.4 A
member of the Association shall cease to be such
member if:
5.4.1 ITI Patiala or any other competent
authority absolves his /her degree.
5.4.2 He/she is convicted
by a court of law for moral turpitude.
5.4.3 He/she becomes
mentally ill/insolvent.
6.
General Body (GB)
6.1 The GB shall consists of all
members of the Association.
6.2 The GB of the Association shall
hold an Annual General meeting (AGM) at least
once a year. The meeting may be
held between 1st October and 31st December each
year.
6.3 A notice of clear fifteen days
shall ordinarily be given to the members throught ordinary post. Such notice shall be deemed to
have been served upon the member the moment it is posted.
6.4 Emergent meeting of the
Association can be convened by CEC for compelling
reasons at a hort notice of seven days.
6.5 If for any meeting including AGM,
there are less than 05 members present, in which case, provided notice of meeting has been
given to the members, the meeting may be
adjourned for 10 minutes by a simple resolution
and when reconvened those present shall
constitute the quorum.
7. Function of GB
7.1 To set guidelines for the CEC so
as to achieve the objectives of the Association.
7.2 To consider and adopt the Alumni
Association Report and Audited Accounts of the
Association.
7.3 To approve budget for the
following year.
7.4 To transact any other business
with the permission of the President.
7.5 To elect 08 members on the CEC.
8. Central Executive Committee (CEC)
8.1 The CEC shall consists of 11
members plus immediate past office bearers. Of
these 11 members, 08 members shall be
elected through secret ballot at the AGM, The remaining three members shall be co-opted by the CEC.
8.2 The election for new CEC shall be
held at the 2nd AGM of the existing CEC.
8.3 The new CEC shall take charge on
the Ist January of the following year for 02
years or till their successors are elected.
8.4 The office Bearers of the
Association shall be:
8.4.1 President
8.4.2 Vice President
8.4.3 Secretary
8.4.4 Treasurer
8.5 The office Bearers shall be
elected by the CEC from amongst the members elected/co-opted to the CEC at the Ist Executive
Committee Meeting after AGM. The office bearers of
the Association shall hold office for 02 years or
till their successors are elected
which ever is earlier.
8.6 The CEC shall ordinarily meet
quarterly at 15 days notice but the Secretary,
with the approval of the president, can
call an emergent meeting at any time, at a short
notice.
8.7 The quorum of CEC meeting shall
be 03 members.
8.8 In case any vacancy arises in the
CEC, the existing CEC shall fill the vacancy by co-option, for remaining term of the CEC.
8.9 Patron shall be entitled to
attend any/all meetings (s) and shall be treated
as special invitees.
9. Functions of CEC
9.1 To manage and promote the
objectives of the Association according to the
directives, if any, of GB.
9.2 To frame the rules and
regulations for the Association and local
chapters.
9.3 To take appropriate measures
against any member/chapter as it may deem fit in
the interest of the Association.
9.4 To collect
donations/subscriptions from
individuals/organization, industrial establishments, trusts, etc. to augment the income
of the Association.
10. Association Office
10.1 The Association Office shall be
located at : Govt. Industrial Training Institute Model Town, Patiala - 147004 Punjab, INDIA
10.2 The Association office shall have
paid secretarial help to assist in the day-to day
working of the Association; this
office shall be accountable to the secretary/CEC.
