It is felt that existing training system is not
fully meeting the requirement of the industry in
the context of more rapid technological
advancement. A gap between skilled man power
requirement of industry and man power supplied by
the institutions is widening. It has therefore
became necessary to introduce the Advance
Vocational Training System to produce the man
power including skilled and semi skilled workers
who are required to control more complex jobs and
also to narrow this gap. AVTS Centre has been
setup in the Institute to impart advance training
in the followings group , in order to up grade the
existing technical knowledge of Industrial workers
/I.T.I’s. /Diploma passed out, having
qualifications as per norm laid down by DGE&T and
Director Technical Educational & Industrial
Training Punjab.
